HOW GLH DELIVER

For many years, GLH has been a trusted supplier of equipment for both the Rail and Civil sectors in South East Queensland. Their investment in high-quality machines provides peace of mind for companies hiring equipment such as loaders and excavators, as they can execute jobs quickly and maximise their profit margins.

GLH support their plant hire clients by providing a maintenance workshop onsite in Willawong, ensuring their fleet always performs at its optimum. In addition, the transport division which includes mobile technicians and a specialised tyre fitter, means clients experience little to no down time in the event of breakdowns.

GLH only hire exceptional operators. These operators are highly skilled, trained specifically for the wide range of equipment available for hire. The development of innovative hi-rail equipment and specialised attachments for the rail sector is supported by operators who are Rail Certified. Their suitability is assessed at the company’s onsite test facility allowing GLH to pre-qualify operators, again ensuring total peace of mind for customers who require this service.

GLH PROJECTS

GLH – Georges Loader Hire can proudly claim to have played a major part in every rail construction project in Queensland in the last ten years including Corinda to Darra, Darra to Richlands, Richlands to Springfield, Cavill Ridge, Middlemount, Moreton Bay Rail – Petrie to Redcliffe, the SEQ Stabling Yard project and Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 2.

Moreton Bay Rail

In 2014 GLH was contracted by Thiess and then Martinus Rail and then CPB Rail to construct the Redcliffe Peninsula Line (Moreton Bay Rail).

SEQ Stabling Yards

When Queensland Rail partnered with The Department of Transport and Main Roads to develop a number of new stabling facilities, GLH was contracted by CPB Rail to build the tracks for all 4 Stabling Yards.

Gold Coast Light Rail

GLH was engaged by CPB Rail during stage 2 of the Gold Coast Light Rail to assist the flash butt welder by moving rail & also moving other materials such as sleepers around site.

Darra to Springfield

As part of the award-winning TrackStar Alliance, Thiess developed a smarter, fully-integrated transport design option that has delivered $171 million in taxpayer savings on this vital infrastructure project
