Health and Safety Representative (HSR) 1 and 5 Day Course
Calibre Training and Development (RTO# 32394) is an approved Provider of Health and Safety Representative (HSR) training in Queensland, by Office of Industrial Relations – Queensland Government (WHSQ). Our selected trainers of this program have been assessed and approved by the Office of Industrial Relations as a specialist in this field with extensive industry knowledge and experience.
The requirement of a Health and Safety Representative in Queensland is to undertake a course of training as outlined in the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (WHS Act). The WHS Act provides the HSR training must be provided through a course of training as approved by the Department.
From 1 February 2019, all HSRs must undertake the required training within three months of their election. Existing HSRs who have not already completed the training must complete the training within the required period. If a worker chooses not to undertake the training within the time period, they will no longer be eligible to fulfil the role of HSR and will need to be replaced.
